Halloween 2020 was different to say the least but we still had a lot of fun celebrating with the kids in our family deer and hunter costumes for Halloween! There was no trick-or-treating for us but we still got dressed up and ate a little too much candy!

Halloween 2020
We started out the morning with monster pancakes and pumpkins full of goodies! The monsters pancakes were super easy to make for Halloween Breakfast; just throw some food coloring in your favorite pancake mix and top with whipped cream, chocolate chips and candy eyes. Once breakfast was finished our kids put together their Halloween crafts. These were really fun and really simple to complete (markers/crayons for the babies and paint for the older kids). Check Michaels for some fun Halloween crafts!

Since I knew we weren’t going anywhere for Halloween I didn’t want to invest too much into costumes. I used clothes that we already had, purchased some headbands and face paint and voila! We had 4 deer, 1 hunter and a Dad to take the pictures 🙂

Later in the evening we went to our community center for an outdoor Halloween movie with friends. We didn’t stay the entire time as it started to sprinkle but the kids still loved going up to show off their costumes. Sawyers was so simple but probably one of my favorites for him because he looked like a miniature Sheldon!
The day after Halloween we did go visit our home which is currently being built and we checked out our neighbors Halloween decorations. It made us so exited to think about next year; hopefully walking around trick-or-treating with new friends and getting our own house ready for Halloween! It is difficult to decorate our apartment since we aren’t going to put holes in the walls so we keep looking forward to Holidays next year in our BRAND NEW HOME!
Family Deer and Hunter Costumes for Halloween

Sharing how I threw together this family Halloween costume look! My husband didn’t dress up but if he did, we would have just made him a hunter with Sawyer (hat, camo, beer!)
- Girls Dresses: My older girls are wearing the fawn print from Alice + Ames but they are currently unavailable. Here is another adorable fawn print dress that works too!
- Antlers: I purchased our deer antlers from Michaels but they are no longer available since they are seasonal. Here is another adorable pair that will work for toddlers and babies!
- Baby Outfit: This is such a cute outfit! We used this well after Halloween for our baby girl.
- Boys Camo Shirt: Love this option because it’s affordable and comfortable!
- Boys Camo Hat: My son used his fathers hat but this is a link to a super affordable one that will work as well!
- Face Paint: We literally use this all the time! The latest use was painting stars and the American Flag on my kids faces for the 4th of July!
- Face Paint Tutorial: I can’t remember which one I specifically used… I believe it was 2. Just search Youtube for Halloween Deer Makeup and you’ll get a ton of inspiration!

Have a fun Halloween celebrating in your deer and hunter costumes!
