Shopping for Tween Swim Suits
Back again with another season of shopping! This is my first full season of shopping for my daughter in the tween swim suit section. We’ve learned so much about shopping for swim wear as girls grow up and found the best prices with the best options!
We are fully into the month of January and already planning EVERYTHING SPRING BREAK. In case you didn’t know, we lived in SC for 2 years and we absolutely fell in love with Bluffton. Spring break in the south actually means early summer weather-wise. Now that we are back in Michigan Spring Break means time to travel south for a warm and sunny vacation!
Because of our Spring Break vacation, I’ve started shopping early for all things summer clothes including tween swim suits! I’ve decided to round up all my research and share my top finds in one place just for you.

What to Look For In Tween Swim Suits
Shopping for tween clothes is a MUCH different experience than shopping for young girls. Now that your daughter is starting to grow up you’ll find yourself being more aware of coverage, transparency and padding. Keep these things in mind when looking at swim suits for tween girls.
Another thing to keep in mind is your daughters body type. Some one piece swim suits pull down in the front for girls with longer torsos – in that case you may opt for a bikini! Some tweens are still super active at the beach and rolling around the sand – for them you want a swim suit that offers full coverage so they’re totally protected. Other girls may be getting into a phase where they want to lay out and tan…. for those little fashionistas maybe it’s all about style!

Check out the best of the best! These tween swim suits come in a variety of sizing options (XS, SM, MD, LG, XL, XXL) as well as numerical sizing (10,11,12,13,14,15,16). Be sure to read the reviews to find the perfect size for your girl. At one store she may wear a LG and the next it may be a 13/14.

- Asymmetrical Ruffle Vacation Bound Swim Suit – Love this pattern and the cut.
- Yellow Bikini with Lace – This is sooo pretty and will look amazing for summer.
- Pink Floral Bikini – Another great bikini option. I love this one because it offers full coverage on the bottom and the top.
- Color Block Bikini – I haven’t seen many options with with boy cut bottoms that were cute but I think this color block is right on point! This is a great option for a girl who wants a little extra coverage on the bottom.
- T-Shirt One Piece – Protect those shoulders! Full discloure, I love this option but we do not own it. One thing about this brand is sometimes the leg holes are high cut to reveal the hip area. This one looks like it’s cut in a modest way but be prepared if not!
- Perfect White One Piece – All around great choice.
- White Floral Bikini – Another girly option with full coverage. I’m not sure if this comes with padding so be aware before purchasing.
- Pink Cutout Bikini – High waist bottoms and cute cut outs on top.
- Neon Color Block – Another option with darker colors.
