I can’t believe it’s been four whole months since I’ve written anything but I’m back again with this post all about neutral boys bedroom ideas! Writing these blog posts has been so much fun but the stress of the move prevented me from investing extra effort into hobbies like this. Now that we are starting to get settled I am S O E X C I T E D to share some of the new rooms in our home!

Neutral Boys Bedroom Ideas
Sawyer, our only son, has the smallest room in the house. We felt for him because the girls rooms are considerably larger so we decided to make his room one of our first focuses. We thought if we finished his space, it would make the smaller room a little easier to accept. Honestly though, I really don’t think he cares either way. Our boy is so laid back and easy to please 🙂 Because he got the short end of the stick with his room, we decided to finally give him a TV! Our kids have never had this luxury before so it was kind of a big deal. His Nintendo Switch is hooked up to it so that when he wants to play he doesn’t have to use the smaller screen. No Firestick or cable on the TV but still, its a treat for him!
We also purchased alarm clocks for him and his sister. Our oldest daughter is up with birds and this mom likes to have a couple minutes to herself in the morning. We decided to give them clocks and ask them to stay in their room and play quietly until at least 7 am so they don’t wake up the rest of the house. This turned into both kids wanting to set their own alarm clocks and wake up for school on their own. Can you believe they are old enough to do that?!

With the new house I really wanted to keep the decoration neutral. He really likes the buffalo plaid look so I decided to go with blacks, grays and whites. This way, he can add his own touches as his interests and hobbies change . He currenlty has a Pokemon blanket, pillow and posted that he chose himself. Although he’s been into Pokemon for the past few years, I’m sure this will change soon and we’ll be able to replace everything relatively easily.

Now to share my favorite part of Sawyer’s room – his little dinosaur area. Sawyer painted these dinosaurs about 3 years ago for Christmas. He painted them and we’ve used them as decoration around the house ever since. My mom recently made him this dinosaur sign (sharks on the other side) and I thought it went together perfectly!
