Our first 4th of July party as a family of 6 and in our new home! We had so much fun celebrating Independence Day in our neighborhood. For links to our party décor check out THIS POST.
We started the day with a helium tank and face paint 🙂 The kids helped me get balloons ready and picked what they wanted painted on their faces for the day. From there, we went outside to watch our neighborhood parade with our neighbors. The kids always love stuff like this because people throw them candy!
The rest of the day was spent having fun until the fireworks! We went to the pool, we sat outside with the water table, bikes and rollerblades, we played card games and we ate delicious food! My husband smoked a pork butt that tasted AMAZING and we ended the meal with brownies and ice cream 🙂
We really weren’t expecting much for fireworks but our neighborhood lit up the sky! We were all pleasantly surprised with fireworks visible right out of our front window! Bonus points because everyone finished setting them off before 11pm.
